Clarity Learning and its founder, Michelle Deets
Clarity Learning is the culmination of Michelle Deets’ experiences and passions.
The daughter of teachers, she attended Arcadia High School, Pasadena City College (PCC), and Cal State Fullerton. Her education also includes the Army National Guard; while never activated, she received her commission and attended the Quartermaster school at Ft. Lee, VA, and served as a platoon leader with the 40th Infantry Division.
Deets graduated from CSUF with a full-time job at a marketing firm. Her career journey took her through marketing, into teaching, and back into private industry. While contemplating her career, Deets found her favorite moments were those spent tutoring students from her mom’s school in Capistrano Beach. She then took the proverbial “leap of faith” and started Clarity Learning. That was in March of 2001. Since then, the joys and challenges of teaching and small business have made Deets one of the lucky few who know they have found their calling.
