Summer Tutoring
We offer summer tutoring for all grades and most subjects.
Our summer tutoring program is flexible to work around your predictably unpredictable summer schedule. And, to save money, invite a friend to share the session (same session and subject).
We offer summer tutoring for:
- Homework packets (they are less tedious with a pal at the table!)
- Math basics review
- Math prep for all levels
- Writing skills
- Kinder-readiness
- Summer school help, including on-line classes
- Summer homework packets
- Enrichment
- SAT/ACT/CAHSEE prep
- High school entrance exams
- Summer reading
- Study skills
We can also build a program to meet your child’s needs and interests.
Every summer, we place a big emphasis on creating and solving math word problems and posting them on the Clarity Learning website. Based upon grade level, the students will write word problems centered around their own interests and then solve each other’s exercises. View previous problems.
Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, time, fractions, decimals, percents…these are the concepts all students must master to succeed at homework, tests, and standardized exams. This integrated approach also practices writing, reading, and spelling skills.
We can also work on your child’s writing skills. From single paragraphs for elementary students to compare and contrast essays for junior and senior high school students, we will practice every aspect of writing and editing.

- Must complete a summer packet (often assigned by private schools)
- Has summer school homework
- Needs help in an area but didn’t qualify for summer school
- Needs to prepare for the SAT
- Has required reading (especially for Santa Margarita High School)
- Needs to maintain skills like math facts, algebra, writing, spelling, and/or reading
- Could use some enrichment from our dynamic science and literature tutors
- Doesn’t like to read
