Math
Clarity Learning’s math tutors assist students on a regular or as-needed basis to help with all levels of math from pre-kindergarten through many college-level courses.
Based upon the student’s needs, our math support includes:
- Remediation (working backward to “fill-in the holes” of a student’s understanding)
- Weekly help to ease homework completion or re-teach concepts
- Test preparation to review concepts prior to an exam
- Math concept review for standardized tests
Math Resources for parents, tutors, and students
These resources are listed by concept, not grade, as math skills are used at all levels of math. In general, we have selected interactive sites or activities, rather than sites that just give written explantions.
- Junior High Math offers a number of interactive games that make learning fun (4th to 12th).

Geometry (proofs, theorems, circles, triangles, and polygons)
- Geometry Printout for Special Triangles (Download our special triangles sheets. Print them back-to-back and cut the shapes out. The shapes will help you solve area and volume problems and prepare for finals. Visual and kinesthetic learners: this will really help you! If you can’t get the sheets to print correctly, e-mail us your address and we will mail one to you right away.)
- Awesome Library’s Geometry study guide
- Angles created by parallel lines and transversals This is a clever way to practice recognizing types of angles (vertical, adjacent, corresponding, etc).
- Solving angle values in triangles
- Solving for the area of regular or composite shapes This is a great interactive activity that helps you match the shapes inside of larger shapes and then assign area formulas to solve for the total area.
- Pythagorean Theorem Use this activity if you can’t seem to remember how to apply A squared + B squared = C squared.
- Triangles (similar vs congruent) This is a good “hands on” exploration of the terms similar and congruent.
